Representatives of Inter University Bhikku Federation met Chief of Malwatta Chapter, Ven. Thibbotuware Sri Sumangala Thero yesterday to educate him on the compulsory military leadership training for University Bhikku and the attitude of Minister of Higher Education towards the students including student monks of the Universities.They drew his special attention on the Minister’s statement with regard to the demise of a student monk recently.
The Chief Monk stated that the Government did not adhere in spite of their advice and things have become worse as they are adamant on their perspective.
A group of student monks including the Convener of Inter University Bhikku Federation Ven. Kamburupitiye Gnaniswara also participated in this meeting
